That's right! You've heard us preach about how impressive the Subaru WRX STi is... $100K of gravel eating, rally technology packed into probably the best value for money sports car in history. We've had an STi in the fleet since day one, showing the big guys (Porsche, Ferrari, BMW... to name a few) how it's done and have just recently taken delivery of the new 2008 version.
To help us celebrate, Subaru of America, Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru, Subaru Rally Team USA and Vermont SportsCar, will be hosting a special cocktail hour for us at the Classic Car Club Monday, June 9th 6-10PM.
Subaru Rally Team USA will be bringing Travis Pastrana's brand new, fully-prepped, 2008 Rally car straight from it's first race to us! We'll also be given the opportunity to tour their race truck and talk to some of engineers from Vermont SportsCar who built the car and provide trackside support for the team in all North America rally events.
Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru will also be bringing a few cars from Subaru's street car lineup, but more importantly, we have Bill and Maryann Kolb to thank for making sure we were among the first in the US to get ahold of the new STi!
Light fare and cocktails will be served.
This is sure to be an event not to be missed.
